As your Queen evolves, you will unlock march troops to hunt insects outside and participate in battles through the game.

In total, you'll unlock 4 Rally Centers buildings, including a special one for your Pro Troop that will get bonus damage in certain circumstances. They're the buildings where you organize your army of super soldier ants who will fight for your queen!

You need to go through Evolutions to unlock enhancements to your troops, and to upgrade their respective rally buildings to increase the size of the army of soldier ants they can carry over to fight outside or defend your anthill when garrisoned!

Special Ants

Every troop formation has 3 rows to be filled with the soldiers of your choice, paired with Special Ants and, later on, with an Insect buddy to help in your fight.

Special Ants are the generals of your troop and have special skills!

Each Special Ant has a different set of Skills and affinities, leading and cooperating with your soldier ants. You should consider everything when adding them to your troops, so you get a good battle ant-synergy!

Some Special Ants have an affinity with specific kinds of soldiers. For example: a special ant X may works better when paired with a troop of Y ants...

They also have preferences when it comes to battle styles: that same special ant X may like to lead from ranged troops..

A practical example...

Now let's see a real case scenario:

DARK GIANT is an Orange Special Ant who likes to work with gentle Carrier ants in troops... and she prefers to give support from behind - leading middle or back lines in your troops -, instead of going berserk and getting her hands dirty in the front lines! 🙀😹

KNOW YOUR SPECIAL ANTS!

Knowing your Special Ants and how to get that battle synergy within your army is essential to hunt down wild creatures more efficiently & boosting your total damage on combat! 😸

If you don't know the cards you have at hands, how will you properly play them?

As important as knowing how to build your troop is preparing your ants for the battle!

Awakening & Stars

STAR UP YOUR ANT:

Once your orange special ant has reached lvl.50, you have unlocked every single skill available, maxed up the Dominance skill, and you get a second hatch of that same ant (a dupe shell), you can star it up and make it even stronger! 🙀

In our previous example, Dark Giant got 1 star, so her first skill can now be enhanced over lvl.10!

Some orange special ants (specially Season ones) are strong enough to fight even if you don't star them up. So don't worry if you can't star up some of your ants!

On the other hand, when you star-up a special ant, you also get 1 point per star to spend on the Special Ant Troop Boost system, accessible through your March Troops screen. This special tree adds buffs to all your rally troops - from defense to attack buffs to skills and garrisoning bonus effects.

AWAKENING ANTS:

Some orange Special Ants have the awesome ability to become even more special! 🙀

This is called Awakening and it's the reason why you should do the Maze Challenge weekly in your Mines building and check the Maze Store.

Awakening a Special Ant brings bonuses to the troops lead by it. And when it reaches the highest levels, it even gets a new appearance and ants develop cool wings!

There are currently 12 Special Ants with Awakening skills available. To unlock Awakening, you'll need 3 things:

1. Unlock all the Skills available of a Special Ant;
2. Reach lvl.10 in all those Skills;
3. Buy the Awakening part of that specific ant in the Maze store, with the points you get from challenging the Maze through the week! 😸

Golden Armor has a passive skill that boosts damage against the Pangolin and Groundhog, while Jack Jumper's Awakening grants it plenty of action!
